Our Chief Peak Blend is 50% Syrah, 50% Grenache and 100% Ojai. While this blend is very common in the Southern Rhone, this wine is a superb example of its Ojai origins where warm climates provide rich, dark and fruity notes.
Varietal Composition: 50% Grenache, 50% Syrah
Appellation: Ventura County (Ojai & Upper Ojai)
Vineyard: 60% Rich, 32% Guerra Ranch, 8% Chief Peak
Alcohol by Volume: 13.5%
Cases Produced: 380

Tasting Notes: Raspberry jelly, red licorice, dried blueberry and wild sage on the nose, with flavors of elderberry, fruit leather and black cherry. With silky, chewy tannins and a lively personality, this is a beautiful portrayal of varieties and region.
